Kuala Lumpur was founded on the confluence of two rivers but 150 years of the city's organic development has turned away from the rivers and left them unattended. It is time to bring life back to the rivers. The 'River of Life' is a major environmental rejuvenation project undertaken by the Kuala Lumpur City Hall to develop the river banks to be the centre of cultural and recreational activities. The project educates people on how best to appreciate and care for our environment, especially the rivers that flow through the city. It will spark environmental awareness that will extend to all the programmer planned elsewhere around the city.
